r/ Pain Finder - How to Find a SaaS Idea

My Journey to Find a Profitable Product Idea

Remember the promise I made to myself? I talked about it here. From now on, I won’t make any product that people won’t use.

That’s why I started asking people questions on Reddit. If I get enough good feedback, I make the product. That’s how the image text localization tool was born.

I wanted to make a new product. This time, I also want to make passive income. But I need an idea for this.

So, how do you find an idea? First, I need to find a problem. Then, I need to ask potential users if they would use it.

A week ago, I had an idea: AI subreddit recommender. It’s a tool that helps you find and promote subreddits based on your content.

The first thing I did was ask people about it ⬇️

As you can see, I didn’t get very good feedback. My impression count was only 2.2, and the upvote count was a big 0 :D

But I’m happy. This saved me from making another app that no one would use!

So, I need to keep asking questions. Different questions for different groups! I wanted to make this process automatic and develop a tool for myself.

That’s how r/ Pain Finder was born. It’s still in development, but this tool will show me the pain points in a subreddit. This way, I can ask the right questions in those subreddits and do another analysis. Who knows, maybe by asking the right question to the right group, we can develop a painkiller product - this time with the goal of making money!

<3 Thank you for reading.

Note: Don’t worry, if the idea finder tool I’m developing for myself works, I’ll share it with you too. Best wishes!
